Are you a leader in the children and youth services sector, or a related sector, in Ontario who is committed to issues of equity, anti-racism, and child and youth well-being? Are you looking for an opportunity to influence and shape the future of child welfare in our province?
Then please consider applying to join the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies’ Board of Directors.
We are currently recruiting for two positions on our 15-member Board. Specifically, we are seeking to fill our Associate Member Director positions, which are reserved for professionals in systems connected to child welfare – for example children’s mental health, justice, education, and/or those with specific experience in equity, First Nations, Inuit, or Métis communities, or anti-racist work. We are looking for creative thinkers, with experience advocating for change, pushing challenging issues forward, and keeping children and youth at the centre of their decision-making. We are prioritizing applicants from First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities, as well as those of African Canadian descent.
If this sounds like you, please complete an application by July 3, 2020. Contact Pepper Shaxon at pshaxon@oacas.org for complete details on how to apply. These vacancies will be filled at our Annual General Meeting in September 2020.
