One Vision One Voice (OVOV) is pleased to present the fourth edition of PowerUp!—a symposium specifically designed for Black-identifying children and youth actively involved with child welfare. Registration is now open!
On March 6 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Mississauga, OVOV will welcome Black youth from across the province to build connections, community, and to celebrate Black identity. This year’s event is especially exciting because it is the first in-person event since 2019 and attendance is completely free.
PowerUp! is an opportunity to connect Black youth in the child welfare system, empower them, and inspire unity and togetherness across Ontario. The theme of this year’s PowerUp! event is Family Tree, Connection, Identity.
Find out more about the event, including how to register, on the event page.
A special thanks to the PowerUp! planning committee for all their hard work and guidance in planning this year’s symposium. Any questions about the PowerUp! youth symposium or the OVOV program can be directed to onevisiononevoice@oacas.org.
