Ontario is fortunate to be home to a diverse mix of cultures, religions, and identities from across the world. As we have witnessed the unprecedented terrorist attacks and brutality unfolding in the Middle East, we know that people across the province have been, and will be, impacted by this violence.
We recognize the devastation this conflict abroad causes for the children, youth, families, and communities served by our members, including Jewish Family & Child Service. Our thoughts are with all those who have loved ones affected by the senseless attacks and violence, as well as families and communities in Ontario grappling with this evolving situation.
OACAS firmly condemns all acts of violence, discrimination, and hate. We support our members, all of whom stand for decency and compassion and work every day to serve diverse and vulnerable populations to improve the lives of children, youth, and families.
We encourage our members to be aware of the families, staff, volunteers, and community-based partners who may be impacted by these traumatic events and to offer support to them during these challenging times. At OACAS, we will continue to connect with our members to identify opportunities where we can further support them.
